New Zealand cafe

Been hearing about this place for a while so I finally went and checked it out. It's a very small restaurant in a shopping center off Sardis rd. kind of hidden and there's not much sign for a restaurant. The decor was very minimal and it's more small family own restaurant. It's a small sushi bar with 3 chefs working behind. I was greeted by a server and took us to our table. Since it's a small space, there was not much space between tables. People next to us can clearly hear our convo and vice versa. The menu had a good amount of items. If you're into raw fish, this would be the place for you. Nice selections of fish and they even had uni. I was stoked about what I wanted to order. So I started off with tuna tartar and Tom yum soup( it was good surprisingly even though that's not Japanese). I also ordered baked mussels. The starters were great and delicious. Then I proceed with nigiris( salmon, toro, spicy scallops with masago, fresh scallops, unagi, mackerel, and ikura with quail egg). I also had spicy dragon roll and discovery roll. The fish was fresh. Better than Enzo ( I would say) and its A LOT cheaper. Finally, as for dessert, couldn't help but try their tempura banana with vanilla ice cream. It was just the right flavor for closure. Not to sweet, nice and crispy. Not to mention the service was excellent. I was a pleased customer. Def coming back.
